What is Integrative Health, and What Are the Benefits?

Integrative health emphasizes the combination of conventional medicine and complementary and alternative therapies to address the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual aspects of an individual’s health.

Integrative health professionals work collaboratively with patients to develop personalized treatment plans that may include a variety of evidence-based interventions.

Embracing a holistic approach to wellness allows for a deeper understanding of the body’s interconnected systems and how they influence overall well-being. Through services such as nutritional counselling, massage therapy, and acupuncture, individuals can experience improved physical, mental, and emotional health. Integrative wellness empowers individuals to take control of their health and achieve optimum wellness for a better quality of life.

Meet Our Integrative Health and Wellness Team

Opening an Integrative Health and Wellness Clinic was inspired by the work of Dr. Mark Hyman, a guru in preventative medicine, and Dr. Daniel Amen, who focuses on functional health. It became our prerogative to find practitioners with the credentials and experience to provide exceptional treatment in our clinic.

Melissa developed her passion for health and wellness when she competed as a professional MMA athlete, allowing her to fully understand the importance of human optimization.

This led her to pursue a career in the clinical field. She spent the first part of her career working as a physiotherapy/chiropractic assistant, being mentored by the right people and gaining that hands-on knowledge. During this time, she took certification courses such as Fascial Stretch Therapy and started to build a strong client base.

Wanting to offer her clients more and to continue her education she enrolled in Osteopathy school. She could not be happier with this decision to become a Manual Osteopath, it is very rewarding. Every day, you can make a difference in someone’s life.
