Rob Roe

AKA: “Coach • Coach Robbie”

“Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless like water.  If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup.  You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle.  You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot.  Now, water can flow or it can crash.  Be water my friend.” – Bruce Lee

 Coaching Philosophy:
“Boxing, AKA ‘The Sweet Science’ is more than just punching.  Understanding your limitations while using your abilities to the fullest is the mindset behind my class. Let me help enlighten you to being like water.  Come FLOW and CRASH, my friend.”

Robbie Roe is known as ‘the fastest hands in Canada’, a label coined by the great Tony Unitas (renowned promoter and owner of the Toronto Newsboys Athletic Club which produced some of the greatest fighters out of Toronto).  Possessing an impressive amateur record of 40-4, using his extremely hard hitting, yet very elusive style, Rob was the runner-up for the AAU Golden Gloves in Syracuse, N.Y.  He also earned the Canadian Golden Gloves title, two-time Ontario Championship title as well as becoming a two-time silver medalist at Nationals.  Former opponents that Rob dominated over were Calvin Porter and Joe Lyle.

Rob’s immeasurable wealth of boxing knowledge is payed forward to our members with that ‘Old School feel to the extra care he gives during his coaching sessions and classes.
