Sara Haghighat-joo at the Olympic Qualifier in Africa

West End Athletic Club is calling all of its members, staff, friends, family, and followers to provide Sara Haghighat-joo support as she fights to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics!
Currently, Sara and Coach Stevie Bailey are in the Senegalese capital, competing to secure one of 11 spots available for women in the 2024 Olympic games. There are 83 women from across the African continent. Sara needs three wins in order to earn Olympic qualification.
Sara fought on Sunday, September 10th, 2023, versus Kenya’s Aminata Martha Faki and won by a unanimous decision of 5-0. Today, Wednesday, September 13th, 2023, she fought against Nyembo Muamba Gisele of the Democratic Republic of Congo and won by unanimous decision, 5-0, again.
With two wins, she is now only one fight away from qualifying for the France 2024 Olympic Games. The semi-final is scheduled for 12pm (local Senegal time) on Thursday, September 14th, where Sara will compete against Morocco; this will be live-streamed on the Olympic Channel.
