West End Athletic Club would like to welcome its newest Coach to the team, Misha Ideltchik. Born in Canada of Russian descent, Misha grew up watching professional matches and started with youth boxing classes at a young age. From there, he moved to sparring classes and currently challenges himself with West End AC’s Muay Thai classes.

What does Misha like most about boxing? “The Coaches care about my skills, they value teaching techniques and support the development of the whole athlete.”

Misha’s favourite class to teach is the Little Warriors Class on Saturdays, “Going over the basics of boxing to kids ends up teaching me a lot too! I focus on footwork with my students and subconsciously find myself becoming a better boxer. The skills I help my students hone, I’m simultaneously honing them myself.”

Outside of being at the gym, Misha enjoys spending time with his dog, watching movies with his family, and playing video games every now and then. With his sights set on training in MMA, Misha is dedicated to learning how to grapple while he remains committed to his students.

At West End Athletic Club, we strive to provide our members with the best training and fitness programs available. We are excited to have Misha join our team as a Coach!

Want to see the results of some of the Coaching at West End AC? Join us on November 3rd, 2023, for our second Friday Night Fights event. This live showcase of amateur boxers won’t disappoint. Doors open at 5:30pm and the first fight starts at 7:30pm.
